At a glance
Yes I Know My Room Storico is two rooms, Alleria and Mareluna, in an old building in Naples’ old centre: up to 4 guests, with a private bathroom in every room. Each is named after a Pino Daniele song, written on the door.
We are on the third floor and there is no lift: you climb the stairs, and we would rather tell you now. In return you have via dei Tribunali a few steps away (Pizzeria Sorbillo is 2 minutes, Napoli Sotterranea 3) and, guests write, a silence that is rare in the old centre.
Check-in is self-service, from 14:00, and you can leave your luggage free of charge. Book with us, no middlemen: the direct price is lower than on the booking platforms.

Arrival and departure
- Check-in
- From 14:00, self-service (self check-in): nobody waits for you at the reception, you let yourself in with the instructions we send you on WhatsApp on the morning of your arrival.
- Getting in
- You reach the grey gate of the courtyard and ring, then climb on foot to the top floor by the staircase on the left. Inside you find a box with the name of your room: it holds a white card that opens both the flat’s door and your room’s door.
- Check-out
- By 11:00. Late check-out is not available, but you can leave your luggage afterwards.
- Luggage
- Free storage under the reception counter, before check-in and after check-out. If you leave them after check-out, put the card back in the room first.
- Floor
- Third floor, no lift: you climb the stairs.
- By car
- There is no private parking, and the old centre is not recommended by car: narrow lanes, expensive garages and the ZTL, where it is easy to get a fine without noticing. We suggest the Metropark at Napoli Centrale station, guarded and the cheapest option, one metro stop away.
- From the airport
- By the Alibus, getting off at the Porto stop (Porta di Massa). By metro the nearby stops are Dante, Museo and Cavour. We arrange the transfer: you book it in the chat, with flight number and time; the driver is paid in cash.
- Tourist tax
- €4.50 per person per night, cash only: leave it in the box in your room, before you go. Cards, bank transfer and PayPal are not accepted. Residents of Naples and anyone under 14 are exempt.
- Breakfast
- It is not offered. But around here the choice is huge: via dei Tribunali is full of cafés, one after another, and finding your favourite is part of exploring Naples.
- Support
- The WhatsApp chat is always on. If you are locked out, we call whoever is on duty.
- Pets
- Not allowed, of any size.

Frequently asked questions
How do I get in?
You reach the grey gate of the courtyard and ring, then climb on foot to the top floor by the staircase on the left. Inside you find a box with the name of your room: it holds a white card that opens both the flat’s door and your room’s door. If the box does not open, message us in the chat straight away. The instructions, with the Wi-Fi network and password, reach you on WhatsApp on the morning of your arrival.
How do I book?
Pick your dates on the calendar (and a room, where there is more than one) and press the WhatsApp button: the request is already written for you. You do not pay on the site: our automated assistant replies and a person gives you the quote.
What time are check-in and check-out? And luggage?
Check-in is from 14:00, self-service, so there is nobody to wait for. Check-out is by 11:00, and you can leave your luggage afterwards, free of charge, under the reception counter: put the card back in the room first. If you arrive early, message us in the chat: we will see whether the room is ready, but we cannot guarantee it in advance.
Do I need to send you my documents?
No, documents are not sent over WhatsApp. Registration is done with the online check-in: the link arrives by email when you book. It is a legal requirement: guests’ details must be reported within 24 hours of arrival.
How do I pay the tourist tax?
Cash only: leave it in the box in your room, before you go. Cards, bank transfer and PayPal are not accepted. The amount is already worked out on your booking, and residents of Naples and anyone under 14 are exempt.
Is breakfast included?
No, it is not offered. But via dei Tribunali is full of cafés, one after another: trying them is part of exploring Naples. The rooms have neither a kitchen nor a coffee machine.
Is there a lift?
No. We are on the third floor and you climb three flights of stairs. If you have heavy bags or difficulty with stairs, it is better to know before you book: write to us and we will help you choose.
Do you arrange airport transfers?
Yes. We arrange it, and you book it in the WhatsApp chat: we need your flight number and the time you want to be picked up. We check the driver is available and confirm in the chat; then the driver contacts you. Payment is cash only, directly to the driver. If you prefer public transport, there is the Alibus: get off at the Porto stop (Porta di Massa). By metro, the nearby stops are Dante, Museo and Cavour.
Can I come by car? Where do I park?
We would not advise it: the old centre has very narrow lanes, expensive garages and the ZTL (limited-traffic zone), where it is easy to get a fine without noticing. There is no private parking. If you come by car, leave it at the Metropark at Napoli Centrale station: it is guarded, the cheapest option, and one metro stop away.
Is it close to the centre?
You are right inside the old centre: Pizzeria Sorbillo is a 2-minute walk, Napoli Sotterranea 3, the Sansevero Chapel 4 and the Duomo 6. The National Archaeological Museum is 14 minutes away (1 km).
How many people does it sleep and what are the beds like?
Two rooms, up to 4 guests in all. Alleria and Mareluna each have a double bed, a private bathroom, air conditioning, heating and a safe. Pets are not allowed.
Can I cancel my booking?
If you booked on a platform (Booking, Airbnb and the others), the conditions of your booking apply: you find them in the platform’s confirmation. If you book directly with us, the 50% deposit paid at booking is not refunded. Last-minute bookings, which are paid in full before arrival, are not refundable.
How does it work for children?
Little ones are welcome: up to 4 years old they sleep free in the double bed. We cannot add an extra bed here, and we do not have cots or high chairs. Up to 1 year old they do not count towards the number of guests; from 2 years old they count as adults.
How do I pay for the stay? Do you issue an invoice?
You pay by bank transfer only: 50% when you book and the other 50% the day before arrival. For last-minute bookings you pay everything before arrival. For the invoice, enter your details in the online check-in link: we send it automatically by the Friday of the week after check-out.
Are there quiet hours?
We ask for quiet from 22:00 to 10:00: no loud noise and the TV kept low, out of respect for the neighbours and other guests.
What if I am locked out or something does not work?
Write to us in the chat: WhatsApp support is always on, so problems get fixed while you are with us, not afterwards. If you are locked out, we call the on-duty person.
Is it better to book direct?
Yes, it is the most convenient way. For every date, our direct price is lower than on the booking platforms. You write to us, our automated assistant replies and, for the quote, we take care of it ourselves.
